Centerburg Trojans Varsity scores more runs than Pleasant, takes victory on Monday to the tune of 4-2
Centerburg Trojans Varsity got things started in the first inning. Jarred Rings drew a walk, scoring one run.
Centerburg Trojans Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Jackson Goulter singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Rings doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Sam Bassett led the Centerburg Trojans Varsity to victory on the hill. He lasted four innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out one. Bobby Zendarsky threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Ambrose took the loss for Pleasant. He allowed five hits and four runs over two and a third innings.
Trey Kendrick led Centerburg Trojans Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Centerburg Trojans Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Bassett had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
Stark went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Pleasant in hits.
