Amelia Smith would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Thursday, driving in five on three hits to lead Trojans past Bexley 14-3 on Thursday. Smith drove in runs on a home run in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the third.
In the first inning, Trojans got their offense started. Noa Sesma drove in one when she doubled.
Trojans put up three runs in the sixth inning. Aubrey Clippinger had an RBI home run in the inning to lead the run scoring.
Savannah Dehart led things off in the circle for Trojans. She lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out six.
Melville was in the circle for Bexley. She went three innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits, striking out one and walking zero. #16 threw two and a third innings out of the bullpen.
Trojans launched two home runs on the day. Clippinger had a long ball in the sixth inning. Smith had a four bagger in the first inning.
Trojans tallied 16 hits in the game. Zoe Huber, Chloe Goulter, Smith, Sesma, Clippinger, and Kaitlyn Tenzos each had multiple hits for Trojans. Smith, Goulter, and Huber each managed three hits to lead Trojans.
Bexley tallied seven hits. Schullhaas and Reich each racked up multiple hits for Bexley.
