Trojans defeated Delaware Christian 24-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Olivia Ross induced a double-play from Rindfuss to finish off the game.
Kaitlyn Tenzos collected five hits in five at bats to help lead Trojans to victory. Tenzos singled in the first, doubled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.
Trojans got on the board in the first inning when Savannah Dehart drew a walk, scoring one run.
One bright spot for Delaware Christian was a single by Bowman in the first inning.
Ross led the Trojans to victory in the circle. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Ross recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Trojans.
Neuhart took the loss for Delaware Christian. She lasted one and one-third innings, allowing 12 hits and 13 runs.
Dehart started the game for Trojans. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out five
Trojans racked up 24 hits on the day. Tenzos, Ross, Aubrey Clippinger, Noa Sesma, Dehart, and Zoe Huber each managed multiple hits for Trojans. Tenzos led Trojans with five hits in five at bats. Trojans tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Kenzie Davis led the way with three.
Bowman went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Delaware Christian in hits.
